Merlin Tree Services are a professional forestry, arboriculture and tree management company operating a wide and comprehensive range of tree and woodland management services throughout Central Scotland.
We take great pride in our work and aim to undertake as superior quality of work as possible in every job, from a single tree needing felled in your back garden to complete management services for your woodland or forest. We work with customers of all shapes and sizes including homeowners, landlords, private estates, farms and local authorities.

Merlin Tree Services was founded back in 2010 by Alan McDowall, a highly trained and certified tree surgeon, and operates across Central Scotland. Alan himself is a fully qualified LANTRA instructor, approved to train the next crop of ground and aerial arboricultural specialists, as well as being a City & Guilds NPTC assessor and vice chair of the Scotland branch of the Arboricultural Association. Alan is still actively involved in the management and execution of tree works for Merlin Tree Services including consultancy based services such as LOLER inspections and tree surveys.
